My mom sent me a link to HECTOR RUSSELL KILTMAKERS: SCOTLAND'S TARTAN SPECIALIST so that I could view this Mohair Bonnet. The copy advertises humbly "a practical hat made in our own Scottish mill".
This blog is going to be devoted to stories about shopping with one's Mom. Field notes, hissed arguments, kilt-related coercion, Mom preferences and profiles, rabid discount hunting and department store exile, baffling suggestions, "just try it on for size" episodes, your mom commiserating with the sales staff over your failure to cooperate, waistband tugging, sweet finds-- we're going to run the gamut here. We were born to wear plaid, particularly the plaid with lots of green in it. According to Grandma Ruthie, red, purple, orange and hot pink are verboten.
Now this hat, which would look charming on either one of you, has lots of blue, but why not ?
